Reclaim Public Access to the Ridge 
 

Our goal is simple: Open the Gate
East Bay Regional Park District must 
remove the padlock on the gate at the end of Kilkare Road. EBRPD locked the gate on 5/31/25, with no community input.
We want to work with EBRPD to keep the gate open as "hike in" access - as it has been for decades. 
This is land that "Save Our Sunol" fought to protect in 1983 and which is now part of EBRPD. For the first time in over a century, the public no longer has access to a vital community resource. Let's work to keep the gate open for everyone.
